“El
Shorty”
Deiby
Perez known as “El Shorty” was born in Santo Domingo,
Domincan Republic in 1981. He is one of the voices of the
morning show “El Vacilon de la Mañana”.
“El
Shorty”, who as a child dismantled TV’s trying
to find the people that appeared on the screen, began his
career in radio as an intern at “La Mega”. During
this period of time he learned to produce commercials and
run the controls on the air.
In
1999 Deiby began to work next to Paco in his show from 3 to
7pm. While he was working there, he had the opportunity to
meet “The Vacilon” crew, who asked him to do the
show live from a college in the city.
In
2003 “El Shorty” went to “1380 AM”,
looking for a new opportunity. He worked there for 3 months
as an Executive Producer. Then he moved to Washington D.C
to be part of “La Mega” where he worked as a production
assistant. He lived in Washington 6 months.
At
the end of 2003 “El Shorty” returned to New York
to be part of the “El Vacilon” and today he is
one of the producers of this morning show.
